Cunningham played 29 minutes on Thursday and posted nine points, two rebounds and two assists. However, her contributions were beyond what the stats sheet show. Her defense and hustle helped Indiana secure the victory and bounce back from Wednesday’s loss to the Sparks.
Kelsey Mitchell was unstoppable, registering 29 points on 10-for-22 shooting, along with eight assists. Cunningham and Co. will return to action on Sunday when they visit the Las Vegas Aces. A four-game homestand follows, giving them a strong chance of stringing more wins together.
