His Eswatini purchase comes just weeks after he bought a R160 million mansion in Clifton, Cape Town, one of South Africa’s most sought-after residential areas.
That acquisition made him neighbours with several celebrities and business moguls, including Grammy Award-winning DJ Black Coffee and mining magnate MySol.
With many still trying to connect the dots over his Cape Town mansion, Chivayo has now unveiled his new Eswatini mansion, adding yet another multimillion-rand property to his growing real estate portfolio.
Chivayo’s purchase follows Eswatini citizenship
The purchase comes weeks after Chivayo was granted Eswatini citizenship and a diplomatic passport in recognition of his philanthropic contributions across Africa and his commitment to helping make the kingdom’s renewable energy sector world-class.
According to Eswatini media, the purchase is a significant statement of commitment from Chivayo, who is already making progress on his R3 billion solar project.
The kingdom’s state media reported that, following high-level discussions with His Majesty King Mswati III, Chivayo revealed plans to fund the first phase of the project through his company, Intratrek Holdings.

However, from a video of the property that has since gone viral, The South African established that the mansion features a large swimming pool overlooking an outdoor entertainment area.
It also boasts modern architectural design and scenic views.
The purchase came as a surprise to many who did not see it coming.

Is Chivayo expanding his international property portfolio?
In one of his social media posts after splurging R160 million on the Clifton mansion, Chivayo revealed that he also intended to buy luxury homes abroad.
His latest purchase in Eswatini has once again drawn attention to his wealth, with his net worth becoming a topic of discussion.
Reports claim that Chivayo’s net worth has now surpassed the R1 billion mark.
A property portfolio worth millions
This is not the first time one of Chivayo’s properties has attracted widespread attention.
Besides his R160 million Clifton mansion, Chivayo owns a luxury mansion in Zimbabwe valued at more than R129 million.
The property, which he bought in 2024, sits on 17 hectares and features several high-end amenities, including:
- Full-sized tennis courts
- A helipad
Rumours also suggest that Chivayo owns several other properties around the world, including penthouses in some of the world’s most prestigious hotels, although these claims have not been independently verified.
