Florida football will commence fall training camp during the first week of August.

The Gainesville Sun confirmed a report that the Gators' first team practice will be held on August 5. Head coach Jon Sumrall, players and select assistant coaches will meet with the media the day before.
Florida will have two scrimmages on Aug. 15 and Aug. 22. UF will then cap off its camp the following week.
Sumrall and two players will be available during SEC Media Day, a four-day event.
The event will be held in Tampa from July 20-23. The Gators will speak to the media on July 22, along with Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas A&M. The full television schedule has yet to be announced.
Florida will open its 2026 season against Florida Atlantic on Sept. 5 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m.
