There are some classic household names in the list, such as Bill Belichick, George Halas and Curly Lambeau, while others, such as Guy Chamberlain, who coached four teams from 1922-27, will probably require fans to do some research.
For the Dolphins, their two representatives on this list were Jimmy Johnson and Don Shula. That pair won 293 games of the franchise's 511 total wins, which is a remarkable 57.3% over the last 59 years.
Here's how they placed in CBS' rankings:
No. 14 - Jimmy Johnson
Johnson makes this list for his run with the Dallas Cowboys, where he won two Super Bowls from 1989-93. However, he did still find some success with the Dolphins from 1996-99, going 36-28 (.563) in the regular season and leading the team to three postseason berths, the second most of any coach in franchise history.
No. 5 - Don Shula
Shula was the second coach in Dolphins history, replacing George Wilson. The run that Shula had in South Florida was unprecedented, as he spent 26 years with the team, going 257-133 (.658) and making the playoffs 16 times. He won the division 11 times, won the conference five times and won the Super Bowl twice.
