Liverpool have decisions to make in the transfer market, and one of the more intriguing openings this summer concerns Ibrahim Mbaye. The Paris Saint-Germain youngster is expected to move on before the window closes, with interest building from both the Premier League and Bundesliga.

Mbaye feels like the sort of move clever clubs make before everyone else joins the chase. There is risk, of course. There always is with youth. Yet there is also logic. Liverpool need depth, quality and flexibility, and this market rarely rewards hesitation.
