Patriots WR A.J. Brown confirms injury after training camp practice

· Yahoo Sports

New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown dislocated his thumb during Monday's training camp practice.

He popped the thumb back into place after the play and returned to the football field. After practice was over, the three-time All-Pro wideout sat down with NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Brian Baldinger and acknowledged the injury when it was brought up.

"Yeah," Brown admitted when Baldinger brought up his dislocated thumb. "It was tough. I tried to get back in that flow state zone really quickly because, obviously, you're going through a little pain. Obviously, the game is what it is, and you're going to get bumps and bruises, and you gotta keep going. I know it's practice, but I'm not coming out of practice. Thumb out of place, you keep going."

Brown explained that he had injured the same thumb before in college, and he played the rest of the season. He plans on getting treatment for the injury, but it didn't appear to be anything that worried him as something serious.

With that said, this will obviously be a situation to monitor moving forward to see if it causes him to miss time or limits him on the practice field.
