CLEVELAND — Basking in the afterglow of an aggressive approach to the MLB trade deadline, the Guardians (57-56) are set to begin a three-game interleague series against the New York Mets (47-66) on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

With less than eight weeks left in the regular season, the Guardians are looking to three-peat as American League Central Division champions. Coming out of the trade deadline, second-place Cleveland is three games behind the Chicago White Sox (59-52) in the division standings.

One of the players the Guardians recently acquired, outfielder Jo Adell, is set to debut with Cleveland on Aug. 4 against the Mets.
