Nku is a free agent after parting ways with Sekhukhune United at the end of last season but is yet to find a new club. Reports suggest that he has been keeping fit on his own and even trained with amateur side Sunrise FC in Limpopo as he weighs up his options.

Nku joined Sundowns from Marumo Gallants on a five-year deal in 2023 during former coach Rulani Mokwena’s reign. He also spent some time on loan at Stellenbosch FC after falling out of favour at Sundowns.

A return to former club Gallants has been sounded out as a possible destination for the left-footed attacker, while Polokwane City are also monitoring his situation.

The 30-year-old came through the youth ranks of Polokwane City before moving to Gallants, where he made his breakthrough.

Nku played a key role in the Gallants side that reached the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup before making the move to Sundowns.
