Weidman, a former UFC middleweight champion who was inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class this summer, has found a post-career path for himself as a desk analyst on UFC broadcasts, as well as a co-host of Paramount's "Deep Waters" podcast alongside Dustin Poirier, Jorge Masvidal and Din Thomas.
Now Weidman will get the chance to call fights as part of Tuesday's DWCS 91 broadcast, a person with knowledge of the situation verified to MMA Junkie.
Weidman will join fellow color commentator Laura Sanko and play-by-play man Dan Hellie in the three-person commentary booth for the five-bout card from Meta APEX in Las Vegas (Paramount+).
The 42-year-old Weidman (16-8 MMA, 12-8 UFC) last competed in MMA in December 2024, when he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Eryk Anders at UFC 310. The American is one of 14 fighters in UFC history to win an undisputed title with an undefeated record.
