Phichaksn Maichon leads after 2nd round of Korn Ferry Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship

First-round co-leader Phichaksn Maichon shot a 4-under 67 on Sept. 18 to hold onto a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the Korn Ferry Tour's Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship at Ohio State.

Maichon, 24, who is ranked No. 72 on the Korn Ferry points list, is at 12-under. Tied at 11-under are John Marshall Butler and Jorge Fernandez Valdez. Brett White, Sandy Scott and Christiaan Maas are at 9-under.
Former Ohio State star Maxwell Moldovan is in 63rd place at 2-under. He has carded two rounds of 70.
Maichon's round was highlighted by a hole-out for eagle on the par-4 16th from 110 yards. In the first round, the Thailand native who played at Texas A&M made a hole-in-one on the par-3 No. 5, using a 5-iron from 229 yards.
This is the first 36-hole lead of his Korn Ferry career, which includes 32 starts.
First-round co-leader S.Y. Noh shot a 73 in the second round and is in 14th place at 6-under.
The third round begins at 8 a.m. Sept. 19. Gates open at 7 a.m.
