We're officially back on the NBA train. Sam Presti will hold his 2026-27 preseason press conference on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 10 a.m. CT. Expect the event to last around two hours as he talks about a wide range of topics. The Oklahoma City Thunder will enter the year as co-title favorites.
After a summer filled with cost-cutting moves, the Thunder still have one of the best and most decorated trios. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams will seek to bring home a second NBA championship in three years.
Always interesting to hear what Presti has to say. Both in OKC-related discussions and league-wide trends. The Thunder are going through a recast around the complementary pieces. Will be interesting to hear his full thoughts on that as Lu Dort, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins were traded to the East.
There are also ongoing contract negotiations with Cason Wallace. He remains without a long-term deal. The Thunder have until Oct. 19 to figure something out. Or risk entering the year with his pending restricted free agency next summer.
