Kentucky Wildcats News: Louisville trying to flip big-time UK commitment

One of Kentucky Football’s top commitments is expected to take a visit to Louisville this weekend.

4-star safety Tristin Hughes is ranked as the 276th prospect nationally and the 11th-ranked prospect out of Ohio, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

Hughes committed to Kentucky back in April after decommitting from Syracuse, choosing Kentucky over offers from Michigan, BYU, Virginia Tech, Auburn and Miami.

Rivals’ Allen Trieu reports that Hughes will visit Louisville from Saturday to Monday, and Vince Marrow is the lead recruiter. Hughes is also expected to take a visit to Michigan in October.

Hughes is one of the top prospects in Kentucky’s 2027 class, and keeping him should be a top priority for this coaching staff, especially if that means keeping him away from Louisville.
