Geno Smith Fantasy Week 3 Start or Sit: Efficient Passer, Low-Octane Offense, Easy Sit
· Yahoo Sports
A trip to Detroit does nothing to change the read on Smith, who is 25th among quarterbacks in PFN’s Week 3 rankings. One touchdown on 46 completions is a rate that is never going to work for a pocket passer, and this is an efficient quarterback leading a low-octane offense. The value here is in Breece Hall, who led the team with 63 receiving yards against the Packers, and Garrett Wilson, who accounted for New York’s only receiving score. Keep Smith on the bench and enjoy the pieces around him.

Smith has one score on his 46 completions this season, a rate that is just never going to add up in our fantasy world for a pocket passer. I’m not sure the plan is always going to be to funnel one-third of his targets to AD Mitchell like he did last week, but this is an efficient QB leading a low-octane offense.
If he can continue to feed Breece Hall (led the team with 63 receiving yards against the Packers) and Garrett Wilson (responsible for New York’s only touchdown reception), fantasy managers will be as happy as they can possibly be with the veteran.
