Penn State wrestling, the top ongoing college sports dynasty, will hold three matches in its Bryce Jordan Center during the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Coach Cael Sanderson and his Nittany Lions, who announced their upcoming schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 29, will look to extend their NCAA-record 86-match win streak starting in mid-November. The Lions will be a definitive favorite to win their sixth straight national title and 14th in the past 16 years.

Could the Lions, dare to say, be even more dominant in 2026-27?
Their prospective lineup will feature three returning national champions and four No. 1-ranked wrestlers. All but one of their 10 predicted starters are in the preseason top five of their weight classes.
And these lofty rankings do not account for potential star newcomer to the lineup Masanosuke Ono, a Japanese world champ who hopes to officially begin his college career this fall or winter.
The Lions boast national contenders in at least seven weight classes, highlighted by returning champs Luke Lilledahl (125 pounds), Mitchell Mesenbrink (165) and Josh Barr (184). Even more, senior Shayne Van Ness (149) and junior Rocco Welsh (184) finished second at last year's NCAA Championships in Cleveland.
Mesenbrink, who's lost only one match in his Penn State career, could move up to 174 pounds as he looks to win his third straight NCAA title.
The Lions' early-season action includes road trips to Oklahoma (Nov. 15) and Lehigh (Dec. 6) and the first Jordan Center meet against West Virginia (Dec. 13).
The Lions also will participate in two tournaments to end 2026 — the Army Black Knight Invitational at West Point and the Collegiate Wrestling Duals in Nashville, Tennessee.
Their Big Ten Conference slate is highlighted by Jordan Center meets with Michigan and Iowa and the league finale at Ohio State in mid-February.
The 2027 Big Ten championships (March 6-7) will be held in the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, home of the NHL's Blue Jackets.
The NCAA Championships are two weeks later in the Enterprise Center in St. Louis. They'll run from March 18-20.
