Green Bay Packers: initial injury report for Week 4 matchup vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
· Yahoo Sports
The Green Bay Packers have a golden opportunity to get back to .500 this Sunday as they go on the road to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Earlier this week, it was reported that Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield suffered a dislocated thumb and will be out for several weeks. As such, the Packers will be facing Jalon Daniels, an undrafted rookie who won the backup quarterback job in training camp.

Unfortunately for Green Bay, they themselves will be without slot wide receiver Jayden Reed, who is out for the season with a neck injury that requires surgery. They also have a plethora of questions along their offensive line that, if unanswered, will make any game difficult to win.
Even more unfortunate, some of their offensive linemen are already on this week’s injury report.

In addition to Reed, starting right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele is out for the rest of the season due to a torn patellar tendon. Unfortunately, more offensive linemen are on this week’s injury report as the Packers prepare to face the short-handed Buccaneers:

As one can see from the post above, Green Bay, for the first time in a while, has a shorter injury report than their opponent. However, there are some significant names on that list.
Most notably, defensive stars Lukas Van Ness and Edgerrin Cooper were both considered limited in practice. Cooper is dealing with a shoulder injury and concussion while Van Ness has a shoulder injury. Both are likely to play on Sunday.
That being said, offensive linemen Aaron Banks and Jacob Monk were both non-participants in practice on Wednesday. Banks is still dealing with knee tendonitis as well as a toe injury that he suffered in Week Two and that kept him out of Week Three.
Jacob Monk, who has drawn the ire of fans due to his poor play, did not practice due to a quadricep injury that he played through in Week Three.
Worth noting: Dominique Yates reported that newly signed veteran offensive linemen Laken Tomlinson was getting snaps at left guard while Kevin Zeitler was getting them at right guard.
