Wisconsin Badgers forward Nolan Winter has been named to the 2026-27 Preseason All-Big Ten First Team, giving the senior an early honor ahead of his fourth season in Madison.

Winter is coming off a strong junior campaign in which he averaged 13.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. His rebounding average ranked fourth in the Big Ten, while his 12 double-doubles ranked second in the conference. He also shot 69.6% from two-point range, placing him among the nation's most efficient players inside the arc.

The Lakeville, Minnesota, native is expected to play a significant role for Wisconsin as the Badgers navigate a roster featuring several new faces. With key contributors departing in the offseason, Winter's experience and production will be important as the team looks to remain competitive in the Big Ten.

Winter was one of 11 players selected to the preseason first team, joining representatives from nine other conference programs. Michigan State guard Jeremy Fears Jr. was named the Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year.

The recognition gives Winter an early opportunity to build on his breakout season as Wisconsin prepares for the 2026-27 campaign.
