The Oklahoma City Thunder have already lost Jalen Williams indefinitely after his scary leg injury in the club’s 108-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night. Guard Cason Wallace also suffered an injury, however, it is located in his shoulder. On Monday, it was revealed that Wallace, too, sustained a serious injury.
General manager Sam Presti announced that Williams is dealing with a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula, while Wallace is out with a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Both players will miss a significant amount of time for the Thunder.

NBA insider Brett Siegel reported that Williams will have a clearer return timeline after he undergoes surgery. As for Wallace, he’s facing a five-to-six-month recovery process. The soon-to-be 23-year-old guard will also undergo surgery.
“At this time, there is no recovery timeline for Jalen Williams, who will undergo surgery on his injured left leg soon. Sam Presti says a timeline will be provided after surgery. Cason Wallace is looking at a 5-6 month recovery timeline for his labrum tear.”
Both Williams and Wallace are key players in the Thunder’s rotation. The 25-year-old wing played a key role in helping Oklahoma City secure its first championship since moving to OKC. Wallace, on the other hand, serves as one of the club’s top options off the bench, providing excellent depth in the backcourt.
The Thunder will have to play most, or all, of the 2026-27 campaign without Jalen Williams or Cason Wallace. Oklahoma City’s next contest is scheduled for Monday against the Phoenix Suns.
