All games at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
Thursday, Nov. 5
North DeSoto (9-0) at Bossier (2-6)
Note: Both teams have endured far too many injuries of late, but the Griffins have more depth and are priming for the playoffs ahead. Even without Hayden Bell in the lineup, the Griffins win.
Watson’s prediction: North DeSoto 45, Bossier 14
Green Oaks (7-1) at Calvary (8-1)
Note: The Giants could make a huge statement with a win here, but the Cavaliers know what to do this time of year. Giants keep it close, but Cavs use their firepower to pull it out.
Watson’s prediction: Calvary 42, Green Oaks 35
Friday, Nov 6
Natchitoches Central (1-8) vs. Huntington (3-6)
Where: Indy Stadium
Note: The Chiefs finally got a win on the ledger last week and could pick up another this week if things fall right. The Raiders are wanting to secure a playoff berth with a win.
Watson’s prediction: Huntington 38, NCHS 34
Evangel (5-4) at Haughton (8-1)
Note: There’s a lot riding on this little contest that will be played under the pines. The Bucs want to solidify their top 8 power rating, and the Eagles want to lock up a home playoff game. Could go either way, so we’re taking a guess.
Watson’s prediction: Evangel 48, Haughton 47
Captain Shreve (4-4) vs. Byrd (1-8)
Note: The battle of the brotherhood is back where it belongs — in the last game of the regular season. The Gators had a week to rest and prepare, so that should serve them well. Anything can happen in this matchup.
Watson’s prediction: Captain Shreve 34, Byrd 32
Southwood (1-8) at Benton (4-5)
Note: This could be the season ender for both clubs although the Tigers still have a shot at the postseason. That may be all the incentive they need.
Watson’s prediction: Benton 36, Southwood 14
Parkway (5-4) at Airline (6-3)
Note: The winner of this Bossier battle could snare a home playoff game, but the loser is on the road. There’s also the yearlong bragging rights the winner secures. Here’s hoping for a clean contest.
Watson’s prediction: Airline 42, Parkway 40
Homer (4-5) at North Caddo (2-6)
Note: The Pelicans are arguably the best 4-5 team in the state but that isn’t going to get them a home game in the playoffs. A win over the Titans should however.
Watson’s prediction: Homer 45, North Caddo 18
Woodlawn (1-8) at Northwood (5-4)
Note: The Falcons probably won’t get a home game but a win ensures they’re in the postseason. The Knights are riding high from their first win in 2026.
Watson’s prediction: Northwood 48, Woodlawn 28
Booker T. Washington (6-3) at Minden (6-2)
Note: The Crimson Tide likely gets a home game next week with a win, while the Lions should be at home either way. This game will be a gut-check for both squads. Flip a coin to pick the winner.
Watson’s prediction: Minden 32, BTW 31
LAST WEEK: 6-4 SEASON: 68-22
