Former New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is still on the open market, but that could change soon with OTAs kicking off across the NFL.
As teams look to finalize their rosters before training camp at the end of July, Bleacher Report's Alex Kay suggested that the Tennessee Titans could be an underrated option for Diggs.
"If Diggs joins the Tennessee Titans, who are coming off a 3-14 campaign, it wouldn't be a shock to see them become the latest team in what has become a trend of programs making worst-to-first jumps," Kay wrote on Tuesday.
"Their record may not indicate it, but the Titans already have several foundational pieces in place. The most notable is quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft. Ward lacked support as a rookie, but the Titans have completely overhauled what was one of the league's worst receiving corps this offseason and set the signal-caller up to make a massive Year 2 leap."
The Titans should consider bringing in Diggs, as he could play a crucial role in helping Ward leap in his second season. Diggs was instrumental in Drake Maye's improvement last season, his sophomore year, so why not replicate that success with the team in Tennessee?
Tennessee likely doesn't have the roster to make it to the Super Bowl like the Patriots did last season, but acquiring Diggs could help the Titans compete for the AFC South title.
