The 44-year-old made her return in singles after nearly four years away on Tuesday, but a knee injury had put her doubles commitments with sister Venus in doubt.
The rest of the women’s doubles first-round ties had been scheduled across Thursday and Friday, but when Saturday’s order of play was published the Williams sisters were included, albeit without a court confirmed.
Their opening-round match with Camila Osorio and Solana Sierra was listed as “to be arranged”, meaning they are likely to be placed on whichever main show court finishes play first.
Centre Court starts play at 1.30pm (1230 GMT) with two women’s singles matches – Iga Swiatek against Alexandra Eala and Amanda Anisimova versus Madison Keys – followed by Grigor Dimitrov against Matteo Berrettini.
Court One features former women’s champion Elena Rybakina’s match with Elise Mertens, men’s second seed Alexander Zverev taking on Marcos Giron and Frances Tiafoe’s clash with Alexander Bublik in the men’s singles.
Serena and Venus, whose combined age is 90, have taken a wild card into the doubles for their first appearance together at the All England Club since they won their sixth title a decade ago.
