According to Arnold's agent, Nicole Lynn, several teams, including the Texans, have discussed potentially targeting the recently released cornerback in free agency ahead of training camp. In a report from the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett, Lynn said that the Colts, Jets, Seahawks, and Texans were among those inquiring on his status.
Lynn also told Birkett that there is a “very good likelihood” that Arnold will be signed in the next 45 days ahead of the 2026 NFL season.
According to reports, Arnold took a physical in Houston for the Texans on Thursday.
Terrion Arnold's agent, Nicole Lynn, said in a court hearing this morning that 4 teams have reached out about signing Arnold, he had one visit this week and has another set next week. She said there is a "very good likelihood" he's signed in the next 45 days.

Arnold, a former first-round pick out of Alabama, was released late this month after being arrested on felony charges of kidnapping, armed robbery and conspiracy. He was released on a $1 million bond last month and still must undergo a tril.
Arnold's charges carry a potential life sentence. Per the conditions of his bail, the third-year cornerback is allowed to leave his home only for legal or work purposes, including NFL workouts.
There is no ruling to say he cannot sign with another franchise if a team is willing to make him a deal. The Texans were among several teams that met with Arnold in person at the NFL Scouting Combine back in 2024.

The Texans have been willing to give players second chances in the past, so being tied to Arnold isn't far-fetched. He still is a young cornerback with upside and Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans has looked for defensive back in the past.
A former All-American at Alabama, Arnold played in 24 games and started 22 during his two seasons in Detroit. For his career, he's allowed a completion rate of 59% on 134 targets, surrendering 13.4 yards per catch. He has one interception and 12 pass breakups.
Should Arnold be signed to the Texans, he'd be competing for second-team reps with second-year defender Jaylin Smith behind Pro Bowler and fellow 2024 draft pick Kamari Lassiter, along with two-time All-Pro Derek Stingley Jr.
