Red Sox have top slugger back in lineup Sunday as they try to sweep Dodgers in L.A.

LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers, who entered their weekend series against the Red Sox 29 games above .500, have only been swept in a three-game series once all season. That could change Sunday as the Red Sox look for their third straight win over the two-time defending champions.
Boston will have top slugger Willson Contreras back in the lineup on Sunday Night Baseball as the Red Sox — winners of six of seven, 13 of 16 and 22 of their last 25 — try to finish off a sweep at Dodger Stadium. Contreras, who left Friday’s game after getting hit in the head with a 95 mph pitch, missed Saturday’s win as he went through concussion testing. He’s batting cleanup and playing first base against Los Angeles righty Emmet Sheehan, who is still making his scheduled start after not being included in the Saturday night blockbuster trade that netted the Dodgers reigning Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal.

Elsewhere in the lineup, the Red Sox have Nick Sogard leading off (and playing second base) with Saturday hero Ceddanne Rafaela in the No. 2 hole. Carlos Narváez is catching rookie Jake Bennett, who will look to continue his very strong rookie season against a potent lineup.
