Chicago Bears Roster Moves: Coby Bryant to IR, Jack Sanborn signed

A couple of days after setting their initial 53-man roster, the Chicago Bears have officially shuffled a few things around.
Earlier today, they placed safety Coby Bryant and tight end Hayden Large on injured reserve, while signing defensive lineman James Lynch and linebacker Jack Sanborn to the active 53-man roster.

Bryant, who was their big-ticket free agent, is expected to be out 4 to 6 months after knee surgery on August 7. Large, an undrafted free agent from Iowa, was hurt the final week of training camp, with some reports calling it a core injury, although the Bears did not disclose any specifics. If able, both players are eligible to be designated to return this season.
Lynch and Sanborn were part of the Bears’ initial cuts, but as vested veterans, they were not subject to the waiver wire.
The Bears also placed linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II on injured reserve. Hyppolite was waived/injured and cleared waivers, meaning he reverted to the Bears. So they retain the rights to their 2025 fourth-round draft pick unless they offer him an injury settlement and release him off IR.
