Robert Sánchez joins Como on loan

Robert Sánchez has completed a season-long loan move from Chelsea to Serie A side Como, where he will work under former Blues midfielder Cesc Fàbregas.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper had started the new Premier League campaign as Chelsea’s first choice but has now left Stamford Bridge after losing his place following the arrival of Emiliano MartínezAston Villa.

Sánchez joined Chelsea from Brighton in August 2023 and made 112 appearances for the club across three seasons. He was also part of the squads that lifted the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup.
The move to Italy will be Sánchez’s first spell playing professional football outside England. Como are competing in the Champions League this season and have continued to strengthen their squad, with former Fiorentina striker Moise Kean among their recent additions.
The deal is a straightforward loan for the remainder of the season, with no option or obligation for Como to make the transfer permanent.
