Bruno Genesio is unlikely to make it until Christmas as manager of Olympique de Marseille, as per a report from L’Équipe journalist Loic Tanzi,speaking on La Chaîne L’Équipe.

Genesio joined in the summer but has gone public in expressing surprise at the dire situation at the club. It is a financial situation that has seen OM forced to sell several key players without being able to recruit anyone. Genesio has lost four of his first five league games as Marseille manager and five of his first six in all competitions. It is a first in OM’s history.
OM are not in a position to sack Genesio, who is earning €400,000 per month. However, Genesio is unhappy with the current situation at the club and he isn’t hiding from that. In fact, he has repeated it in almost every press conference this season. Despite that, he has said that he will not resign, following the latest defeat against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
But Genesio’s continued public comments are angering his superiors at Marseille, whilst the executives at the club are also frustrated that the manager is not playing the youth players – as was requested at the start of the season – in order to bolster their value, with a view to selling them on. As a result, given the emerging tensions, Tanzi reports that “it would be a big surprise if Genesio is still there at Christmas”.
